Sugar Gliders

Sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps) are probably the most adorable mammals ever to exist. Its name comes from its
sugar - filled diet and the ability to glide through the air.
Sugar gliders are nocturnal gliding possums, belonging among marsupials.
Their strongest characteristic is their gliding membrane, the patagium.
They reach up to 13 inches (or 30 cm) in lenght and weight from 115 - 140 grams.
Males have 4 scent glands, located on their forehead, chest and both sides of their body. Females carry them on their pouch and both sides of their body.
The eyes are big, due to them being nocturnal, and set far apart, allowing them to triangulate the distance between their launch and landing location.
